MathSheetGo · Sheet #877Please review before classroom use

This page is set up to practise one times table at a time. The sheet below uses the 7s, but you can choose any table from 1 to 12. The table can appear as either factor (7 × 4 or 4 × 7), so students learn that the order does not change the answer, and facts come in random order instead of counting up.

When to use it

Use a single-table sheet in the week you introduce that table, then come back to it for short timed or untimed review. Many teachers give one sheet a day for a week: students who finish early can turn the page over and write the table in order, and students who need more support can use a printed multiplication chart for the first few days.

Teaching tips

  • Connect each table to one you already know: the 4s are double the 2s, the 8s are double the 4s, and the 6s are the 5s plus one more group.
  • For the 9s, show the pattern: the tens digit goes up by one and the ones digit goes down by one, and the digits add to 9.
  • Use the “Easier” level (factors 1–10) first, then “Harder” to add the ×0, ×11 and ×12 facts.
  • Focus on accuracy before speed. Timing a sheet too early can make anxious students guess.
  • Have students circle the facts they hesitated on and practise only those the next day.

How to print this worksheet

  1. Check the settings above. They are already set for one times table.
  2. Pick 10, 15, 20 or 30 problems, a title, and the name or date lines you want.
  3. Choose US Letter or A4 to match the paper in your printer.
  4. Press Download PDF for a file you can save and reuse, or Print to send it straight to your printer.
  5. Keep the answer key page for yourself. The sheet number in the footer lets you make the exact same sheet again later.

What comes next

When students know a few tables well, set Focus table to “Mixed” for review across tables. Then move to division facts, which use the same fact families in reverse, and later to division with remainders.

Frequently asked questions

Why do some facts repeat on my sheet?
One table has only 13 facts from ×0 to ×12, or 26 if you count both orders. If you ask for more problems than that, some repeat, and the generator tells you when it happens.
Can I make a mixed times tables sheet?
Yes. Set Focus table to “Mixed” and choose the easier or harder level.
Does it include 0 and 12?
The harder level includes ×0 through ×12. The easier level uses ×1 through ×10.

Worksheets are generated automatically and checked by automated tests, but please review each sheet before using it in class.
